In her role, she covered everything from crime, local news, and the government, to education. some of her most memorable moments come from reporting during severe weather in the Coastal Bend.
In addition, she has covered Hurricane Hanna, a category one hurricane in July 2020, and Hurricane Harvey, a category four hurricane in 2017. Furthermore, she likes engaging with people in their community and listening to what they have to say, whether it be pressing issues that need to be addressed or students and neighbors making a difference.
Most importantly, journalism for her means being a voice for the voiceless and educating the community about what’s going on. During her leisure time, she enjoys exploring new places, trying out new restaurants to eat at, going on long runs, and traveling.
