Shannon Ehrhardt Education
Ehrhardt joined the University of Oklahoma (Boomer-Sooner!) in August 2018 after completing her studies at Chicagoland High School. In May 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Sport Management.
During her time in college, Ehrhardt gained experience as a sports anchor, field reporter, and analyzer. She also shot D1 sports for three different sports shows and a daily newscast. Moreover, she was involved in the Chi Omega Fraternity.
While in high school in Oak Park, Ehrhardt worked as a color commentator for the Football team. During her senior year, she established her own sideline reporting.

She is excited to share sports stories for Iowa’s News Leader. Her addiction to sports started when she was growing up in Chicago, where she was spoiled with some of the best franchises in sports history. Not only does her passion come from growing up an athlete, but also from being a “color commentator” every game imaginable in the living room with her family from a very early age.
Obsessed with hockey, Ehrhardt idolizes the Chicago Blackhawks, and her favorite teams include the Bears, Bulls, White Sox, and any OU Athletics. She welcomes suggestions for things to do in the region, as this is her first time in Iowa.
