Sean Mooney Education

After graduating from college, Mooney packed his bags and moved to New York City to work for Major League Productions. There, he started as a producer, and eventually climbed the ranks to work in front of the camera as a reporter and host. He then worked as an announcer and studio host for the World Wrestling Federation (WWE) before being hired by WWOR TV as an enterprise reporter.
During his time at WWOR, Mooney worked his way to the anchor desk. In this role, he broadcast stories like the crash of TWA flight 800 and the ’96 Republican and Democratic conventions.
Following his time at WWOR, Mooney worked for WBZ in Boston as a reporter and anchor before returning to Tucson. While in Tucson, he began his own production company, Moonrise Productions, and started serving Fox Sports Net. Over the course of his career, he has received many numerous for his work, including three Emmy awards.
