During his time in college, he was honored with 2 college Emmy Awards whil leading the nationally recognized college news program, OU Nightly.
Williams made history while leading the country’s first-ever wall-to-wall severe weather broadcast for a college news broadcast in February 2023. At the time, an E-2 tornado moved 2 miles from the very campus where he and the weather team were broadcasting from.
