Scott Eisberg Education
Eisberg joined the University of South Carolina in 2001 after completing his high school studies. In 2005, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Business.
Scott Eisberg Career
Eisberg is working for ABC4, serving as the sports director. He was promoted to that role in November 2013. He appears on weekday evenings at 6 and 11 p.m., and on the weekends during college football season.
Eisberg was named “Sinclair Broadcasting Sports Director for South Carolina” in 2021. In this role, he spearheads the charge to integrate and merge sports resources with sister stations in Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach.
In May 2007, Eisberg got his dream call to move further down I-26 to ABC News 4, where he spent two full summers interning in the sports department. Though he hails from Long Island, he considers the Palmetto State home, where his career has never taken him off Interstate 26.
While serving ABC4, Eisberg has broadcast big national sporting events, including the Gamecocks in the NCAA Basketball Final Four, the College of Charleston in the NCAA Tournament, Clemson in four NCAA Football National Championship Games, and the PGA Championship.
Eisberg has also covered over 15 college football bowl and playoff games. He has been an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston since January 2025. After graduating, he worked in the sports departments at WYFF in Greenville/Spartanburg and WOLO in Columbia.

During his time at ABC News 4, Eisberg has received several awards from the Radio-Television-Digital News Association of the Carolinas, the Associated Press, and the South Carolina Broadcasters Association.
Eisberg was on the on-air team that received an Edward R. Murrow Award for covering Summerville legendary football coach John McKissick’s funeral. The National Sports Media Association named him S.C. Sportscaster of the Year in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
