From May 2013 to July 2017, Amanda worked at WRUF-TV as a weather forecaster for the University of Florida. In this role, she researched forecast data, collaborated with teammates, and created forecasts for North Central Florida. She also served as the live anchor for the 5 o’clock newscast, recorded segments for a 24/7 local weather channel, and mentored newer forecasters in the program.

In addition to her broadcasting career, Amanda gained experience as a Design Engineer Intern at Spirit Aerosystems from May 2015 to August 2015. During this internship, she contributed to redesigning a portion of the Boeing NG-900 fuselage to fit the new Boeing MAX-9 model using Catia, a 3D modeling software. She worked closely with stress engineers to validate designed parts.

From May 2010 to August 2013, Amanda worked as a Gastroenterologist Secretary for Florida Digestive Health Specialists in Sarasota, Florida. In this summer job, she handled tasks such as making copies, sorting and purging patient files, electronically scanning patient paper charts, and entering data into patient files for the doctor.
