Since 2002, as host and managing editor of ‘The Daily Buzz,’ she has been waking up audiences across the country with her own brand of ‘news with personality.’ While continuing to broadcast the national morning news program ‘The Daily Buzz,’ Jackson started the lifestyle show ‘Life Love Shopping’ on WEtv & Oxygen in 2012. In October of 2013, she completed both shows.
Jackson covered the Casey Anthony trial for the NBC affiliate WESH in Orlando, FL in 2011 as a morning reporter and weekend anchor. In January of 2011, she joined the ‘Sunrise’ team at WESH 2 News. Jackson began her career as a chopper reporter for ABC affiliate KGTV in San Diego, where she was nominated for an Emmy for breaking news coverage.
She also reported from the station’s ‘Sky Ten’ chopper on the Heaven’s Gate catastrophe. While studying Communications, Film, and Political Science at San Diego State University, she became the daily morning weather anchor for KGTV from 1996 to 1999. She added the entertainment beat to her CV just before coming to Los Angeles, covering press junkets and the red carpet pre-show for the Academy Awards at the ABC station from 1996 to 1999.
Jackson was residing in Los Angeles when she first joined ‘The Daily Buzz’ in 2002, where she covered weather and traffic for KNBC. Her other television credits include co-starring appearances on the NBC soap Passions,’ CBS’s ‘JAG,’ USA’s ‘Pensacola,’ and NBC’s ‘Arrest & Trial.’
The iPhone and Android app ‘WakeUpCall.TV’ was built by Jackson. She is also the founder of ‘Stable8 TV,’ an equestrian-focused internet television channel.
