Andrew joined Queen City News in Charlotte from Shreveport, LA, where he spent three years as the morning meteorologist. Andrew grew up more as a fan of Boston area sports teams due to his parents’ New England roots, but he still maintains a passion for pizza and cheesesteaks. Andrew’s love for weather began early, using the Weather Channel to learn geography and starting to do weather reporting on television at his local high school.
He attended Emerson College in Boston, earning his first bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism while playing on the varsity baseball team. After graduating in 2014, he returned to school for a second bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Penn State, graduating in 2017.
Over the past five years, Andrew has had a journey from Cheyenne, WY, to Shreveport, and now to the Queen City. Apart from his meteorological pursuits, Andrew loves playing golf and is eager to explore the outstanding golf courses around Charlotte. He’s also excited to be in a city with decent bike trails for fresh air and to experience the vibrant food and craft beer scene.
