Andrew Herr is a Canadian TV Personality, Actor, and Entrepreneur well-known for appearing in many shows and films such as “Letterkenny”, “Status Update”, “Story of a Girl”, and “Adventures in Public School”. Some of the other shows and films he has starred in include “Bigger Fatter Liar”, “Goon: Last of the Enforcers”, “Rememory”, “Mostly Ghostly: One Night in Doom House”, and “12 Rounds 3: Lockdown”.
Herr is a proud alumnus of the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver and Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. After Herr’s fresh year at UBC, he took a break to go to the Vancouver Media Arts Institute. While at UBC, Herr was part of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
It was while in Kingston, Ontario (when he was in grade 12) that Herr got interested in acting, and it all started with his involvement in a high school theater production called “Never Swim Alone” for the Sears Drama Festival. He used to play ice hockey when he was growing up, but his hopes of doing it professionally didn’t work out over time. He later mentioned that his hockey days influenced his acting career. There, he tried out for a part in a play called “Never Swim Alone” at the local Sears Drama Festival. It was during this play that he discovered he really loved acting.
Herr wanted to be an actor, so he got into the theater program at Toronto Metropolitan University, which was called “Ryerson University” back then. However, instead, he chose to go to another school (the University of British Columbia). He thought he could audition for their theater program after a year. Unfortunately, he didn’t get picked. While at UBC, he became roommates with Dylan Playfair, and they both acted in the TV movie “Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story”. Later, they became best friends on “Letterkenny”.
