Liscano works as an anchor for the 10 pm show at KRIS TV. He first joined the station in May 2007 as a Troubleshooter and Investigative Reporter. Later in April 2014, he added another role as a Primary TV Newscast Anchor. Four months after joining KRIS-TV, reported the story of the Director of the city’s Water Department who was forced to resign. As an investigative reporter, he is responsible for gathering all pertinent information for in-depth stories. He also conducts interviews, writes, produces, and reports compelling in-depth stories for 5 daily LIVE tv newscasts. As a Troubleshooter reporter, Liscano is responsible for finding resolutions to viewer complaints about local contractors and businesses, and consumer scams. In addition to this, he reports on city hall, spot news, police, the courts, and breaking news.
Before joining KRIS-TV, Liscano served as an insurance manager at United American Insurance from May 2002 to May 2005. Liscano first joined United American Insurance as a new agent and was promoted to unit manager after only six months. While serving as an agent, he received branch agent of the year honors.
Liscano had previously served as a sports anchor and director at KEYE-TV from June 1995 to November 2001. As sports director, he responsible for establishing mission statement, department policies, scheduling, travel plans, internship program, and department brand. Liscano was also awarded two times by the Texas Associated Press for Best Sports Feature. During his time there, he served as the station’s representative at various community events and public speaking engagements.
Prior to joining KEYE-TV, Liscano worked for KOVR TV as a sports anchor and reporter fron January 1992 to May 1995. Earlier, he served as a sports anchor and reporter at WITI-TV from March 1987 to November 1991. As a sports anchor in Miami and Los Angeles, Liscano covered the NCAA’s Div. 1 Football National Championship, the Super Bowl, and NCAA’s March Madness Basketball Tournament. He also covered NBA, Summer Olympics, NHL, Soccer’s World Cup, LPGA, MLB, PGA, and NASCAR.
