Before joining WTHR-TV NBC, she worked at WFTS-TV from 1995 to 2001 as a morning and noon anchor and an Investigative Reporter. While there, Angie was able to investigate and uncover HMO abuse by insurance companies denying claims which led to the death of at least two patients. She also exposed how the crematory mishandled the deceased, dumped ashes in the parking lot, and returned the wrong cremains to grieving loved ones.
Before joining WFTS-TV, Angie worked as an anchor and reporter at WTAE-TV Hearst Pittsburgh from 1992 to 1995. While at WTAE-TV, she anchored the morning and noon news and was the general assignment reporter and series reporter. Angie started her career as a reporter at WISN-TV from 1989 to 1992. During her time there, her main focus was on investigative, crime, and courts. Angie was the first reporter for the serial killer Jeffery Dahmer case and trial. In addition to this, she exposed a case of priest sex abuse which spanned 3 decades. The priest, Father William Effinger was arrested and convicted after the report.
