Beck Bennett is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his eight seasons as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (2013–2021). Prior to joining SNL, he was known for his AT&T “It’s Not Complicated” commercials in which he interviewed children, as well as his sketch videos with the comedy group Good Neighbor and his YouTube show Theatre of Life.

In 2003, he formed Commodus Interruptus with Kyle Mooney and Nick Rutherford as an improv/sketch group. Bennett, Mooney, and Rutherford formed the sketch group Good Neighbor with editor/director Dave McCary. After being impressed with the Hook parody, Unbelievable Dinner, they received praise from comedian Louis C.K. and director Steven Spielberg, who sent Mooney, Bennett, Rutherford, and McCary a personal acknowledgment. Spielberg praised the sketch and urged the group to keep making comedic films.

Bennett starred in the 2012 film Kill Me Now. Kill Me Now was a film directed by Chris Lowell and starring several internet sketch comedy groups. It was filmed Beside Still Waters. In March 2013, he appeared in an episode of Last Man Standing, and in August, he voiced a character on FOX ADHD’s Axe Cop. Bennett founded the satirical political talk show Fresh Perspectives in 2011, which helped him land his AT&T commercials with kids. In 2012, he starred in Kill Me Now, a film starring multiple internet sketch-comedy groups, and was filmed by writer/director Chris Lowell in Beside Still Waters.

Bennett made an appearance on Last Man Standing in March 2013, and in August, he voiced a character in Axe Cop for Fox’s Animation Domination High-Def programming block. In the same year, Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez production company produced a pilot for Comedy Central, though it was not picked up as a series due to the departure of three of the troupe’s four members, to New York City to star on Saturday Night Live. That same year, Bennett completed work on the independent film Balls Out and appeared in season 4 of Arrested Development. Bennett voiced Launchpad McQuack in the DuckTales reboot which ran from 2017 to 2021, and Eric the robot in the Sony Pictures Animation film The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
