One of Hall’s unforgettable assignments was going to Africa to cover a Nashville church that established an orphanage to assist children whose parents died of AIDS. That story earned him an Emmy. He also won another Emmy for filing live reports from inside the state capitol on the day income tax protestors surrounded the building.

Besides his reporting work, Hall serves as the host of OpenLine and Issues of Faith on NewsChannel 5 Plus. He has featured state lawmakers, Nashville’s mayor, and other newsmakers on OpenLine.
