He claims that his changed interests caused the move. “I grew up appreciating all aspects of sports, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed my day-to-day interests shifting,” Brad explained. “I began to see that my passion had switched away from sports and toward general news.”

Brad started his broadcasting career in Abilene, Texas, where he worked for three years as the Weekend Sports Anchor at KTAB-TV, our sister station. While the news has taken over as his primary emphasis, Brad still finds time to keep up with the newest sports headlines. He is a proud Texas Tech University alumni, and one of his fondest sporting events occurred in 2019, when the Red Raiders advanced to the national championship game.

“It was fantastic!” exclaims the narrator. Brad remarked. “I had to fight back tears,” says the author. It never occurred to me that I would see them punch their tickets in basketball. When I was in high school in Lubbock, only a few people attended the games. The venue is now completely sold out.” Brad enjoys going to the movies or simply relaxing on his couch and re-watching episodes of “The Office” while he is not at work.
