He began as a sports director at the station and held the role for 3 years. In that role, he reported on many local prep sports such as Bucks, Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.

Before joining WAOW, he worked for KWWL-TV in Dubuque, Iowa as a multimedia journalist for nearly 3 and a half years (October 2014 – April 2018). Before that, he served in the United States Marine Corps in Iwakuni, Japan as a Broadcast Journalist for 3 years and 10 months (January 2008 – October 2011). While there, he also had the opportunity to travel to Afghanistan, Australia, and the Philippines.

Over the years of his career, he covered many sports stories such as the UNI Panthers’ NCAA tournament in Oklahoma City and Seattle, Pinstripe Bowl, and the Iowa Hawkeyes in Pinstripe and Rose Bowls. He also has the opportunity to report on local sports, such as football every Friday night during the fall in Dubuque.
