Brandon Rector Career
Rector is working for KOLN as a meteorologist whose forecasts air on weekdays on First at Four and Fridays at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. Upon joining the station, he first worked as a weekend meteorologist.
Rector is affiliated with the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He received the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society in 2018. Further, he won an Emmy and an Associated Press Best Weathercast Award.
Since he was young, Rector has had a fascination for the weather. After getting his degree, he started his broadcast meteorology career in Abilene, Texas at KRBC in 2003.
