Beyond his professional endeavors, Miller actively supports the March of Dimes in their advocacy for healthy babies, as well as various child-oriented charities and functions.

During the ’80s, Miller faced a diagnosis of testicular cancer. Demonstrating considerable courage, he made the decision to openly discuss his experience with his viewers.
