Before joining WSAV-TV, Michigan worked as a seasonal lifeguard at Brick Township Recreation in Brick, New Jersey for 5 years and 3 months (May 2018 – July 2023). For half a year (January 2023 – May 2023), Michigan worked for Centre County Report in State College, Pennsylvania as a meteorologist.
Over the years of his career, Michigan has reported on multiple stories. He witnessed the fatal nor’easter in the tear 2011 that struck the East Coast, leaving more than 2 feet of snow, and that was when he got intrigued with the weather. He even got more fascinated by the weather when the Jersey Shore was hit by Superstorm Sandy, the deadliest storm in U.S. history. This storm actually made him relocate from where he was living at the time. Michigan’s love for the weather initially began when he was in grade 3 when he was having a science project on various types of weather events.
He has also worked as a Sales Associate for Brave New World Surf and Snow, Inc. in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey for 2 years (from December 2020 to November 2022). Also, he has worked for Bay Head Improvement Association as a seasonal Beach Cleaner for nearly 2 and a half years (June 2015 – September 2017).
