Carman is working for KRDO as an anchor on Good Morning Colorado. In this role, she plans to get involved with the community and relate personal stories that unite everyone. She joined the well-known World Arena at a young age through her passion for figure skating. She trained with the Broadmoor Skating Club from 2005 to 2011 and worked her way up the competitive sports.
Carman worked in the skating field for 14 years and represented Team USA nationally and internationally. Further, she is a two-time Junior World competitor and a four-time national medalist. In 2008, Carman alongside her partner clinched the Novice National Pair Championship.
In 2012, Carman’s pair career ended and she embarked on her next career venture. She was pulled into the journalism field after she underwent several interviews about her skating achievements. After graduating college, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she worked as an anchor and reporter.
In Iowa, Carman broadcasted numerous stories that attained national attention including the 2018 catastrophic floods that left dozens of people in Central Iowa without homes. She spent weeks on the forefront broadcasting details about the missing and killing of Mollie Tibbbetts. She also interviewed Vice President Mike Pence and Maddie Poppe, the 2018 American Idol winner from Clarksville, Iowa
