Hightower is a ballroom dancer famed for serving as a regular dance partner, trainer, and choreographer on the ABC competition program, Dancing with the Stars. On the show, she starred as a professional from Season 8 to 15, excluding Season 13. Nonetheless, she began dancing when she was 9 years old and thus gained conventional training from the age of 14. Moreover, she has training in ballroom, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. She has starred as a performer in musical theaters across the United States attaining her initial national title when she was 11.

In 2005, she served as a U.S. Worlds finalist and competed on Team USA during the British Open in Blackpool, England. When she was 18, she made her TV debut on the 4th season of So You Think You Can Dance. Additionally, she’s recalled for her Emmy-nominated performances with Mark Kanemura, a revision of “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis choreographed by Nappytabs, and with Joshua Allen’s “A Los Amigos” choreographed by Dmitry Chaplin.
