Costa also was the one leading the coverage of the historic launch, NASA/SpaceX, of the Demo-2 mission that sent the United States astronauts in rockets to space for the first time in more than 10 years. Additionally, he has taken coverages on George Floyd’s death, a Houston native, and the protests, calls for social justice, and marches. Costa also became one of the leading reporters in Houston, on the latest pandemic, COVID-19. Houston has the largest medical center in Texas State and Costa quickly learned about epidemiology, public health surveillance, and hospital operations. He did this to explain how cases and patients of the pandemic in the surrounding counties and the city are being managed.

Before going to KHOU, he was working at the current station, NEWS CENTER Maine WCSH 6 and WLBZ 2 as a Multimedia Journalist/Anchor for 4 years and 2 months. He is thrilled to be back at WCSH.

Costa has worked for KAGS TV, an NBC-affiliated television in Bryan, Texas for 2 years. There, he first worked as a Fill-in Anchor, Multimedia Journalist, and Producer for both News and Sports, then transitioned to News Anchor/Producer. He has also worked as a Sports Intern for 7 NEWS WHDH-TV, as well as WCVB-TV.

Costa holds a Boston/New England Regional Emmy Award, which he received as “Outstanding Videojournalist”.
