Long has worked for WDSM-AM – Midwest Communications in Duluth, Minnesota as a Sports Talk Radio Host (freelancing) for 6 years (1998 – 2004). He has also worked for KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri as a Sports Reporter / Anchor for 2 years (1994 – 1996).
Long has also worked as an intern at KGTV-TV – McGraw-Hill in San Diego, California for 4 months (May 1994 – August 1994). Additionally, he has worked as an Advertising Agency Intern at Pearson Crahan & Fletcher in Indianapolis, Indiana for 4 months. While at the University of Missouri, he was a member of the hockey and lacrosse teams. He was also Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity’s founding member of Mizzou’s chapter.
