In 2014, he won a Midwest Emmy Award for that program. He initially joined the station as a sports director and transitioned the sports chair to the anchor chair in 2025.
During his time as the sports director, Roth spearheaded WBAY’s award-winning broadcast of the Green Bay Packers, including Super Bowl XLV. He anchored sports for the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts. Moreover, he worked as the host of Tuesday Night Touchback, Monday Night Kickoff, and Cover 2.
