While in Atlanta, Wilkerson worked on multiple notable stories, including the extended hospital stay and passing of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. He worked on the case for months, interviewing family members and broadcasting the funeral.
Wilkerson’s collaboration with Nancy Grace broke new developments and exclusive interviews with the family of 26-year-old Chase Massner, a missing husband, father, and Iraq veteran. He served as the sole reporter on the scene when cadaver dogs hit on Massner’s body in the backyard of a Cobb County home. He and Nancy Gracy did the only interview with Massner’s friend, who would later be sentenced after he buried the soldier’s body in his backyard.
