While serving as a meteorologist, he has received recognition from the American Meteorological Society (AMS) with their seal of approval, as well as the National Weather Association (NWA) along with their seal of approval. Connecticut is his native home but he was brought up in West Hartford.

His love for weather began at just a tender age and his family was aware that he was captivated by storms because when everyone was going inside to take shelter as he would grab a video camera and go outdoors! In October 2005, he covered the historic flooding and for this, he received his first Associated Press award, later on in 2006, he was awarded another one for Best Weathercast.

While working for Springfield TV station, he reported live during severe weather events, and not long ago, he covered the massive flooding that took place along the Merrimack River in May 2006. After covering the 2009 EF-1 Wethersfield tornado, the Connecticut Society for Professional Journalists awarded him with a “Breaking news” award.

Furthermore, he has also worked at WFTX-TV in Fort Myers, Florida. He enjoys going on road trips during his leisure time. Furthermore, he is a proud Professor at his alma mater at CCSU teaching in the Department of Journalism as he loves mentoring students. Furthermore, he serves on the board of the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists.
