Rodgers is a retired professional football player who was drafted in the third round of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers was the first 1,000-yard rusher in Utes history, a 5’11 “running back-kickoff returner from the University of Utah. He played for the Packers from 1982 to 1985, and he ran a 97-yard kick return for a touchdown against the Chicago Bears on December 9, 1984. Rodgers returned from the league after a year’s absence and played two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers from 1987 to 1988.
