He also participated in AtmosCenter, a student-led weather broadcasting program, and was a member of the USA Jaguar Marching Band.

DeVonte’s passion for weather and on-air meteorologists sparked his interest in meteorology. He got closer to becoming a TV meteorologist after the disastrous 2011 Super Outbreak. Devonte’ enjoys being on social media, spending time with family and friends, and being involved with his fraternity in his spare time, and he is forward to experiencing all four seasons in Indiana, including witnessing snow!
