Donovan Eckhardt is an American TV Personality, Interior Designer, and Entrepreneur, well-known for appearing in HGTV reality shows “Windy City Rehab” and “Windy City Flip”. He is also known as the owner of “Greymark Development Group, LLC.”
Eckhardt is a proud 2004 alumnus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he obtained a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Architecture. He had his high school studies at Dundee Community High School. Immediately after graduating from college, Eckhardt went to work for CD Group Companies and R.Carrozza Plumbing Company. He founded Greymark Development Groupp, LLC in the year 2013.

Donovan Eckhardt Lawsuit
In the year 2020, Eckhardt sued HGTV and the production company of Windy City Rehab, claiming they made him look bad and caused emotional distress during the show’s second season. He argues that the series was scripted and edited to portray him as a villain while making Victoria the victim. Eckhardt left the show during season 2 due to financial disagreements with Victoria, including accusations of questionable payments and legal issues with the city of Chicago.
In the lawsuit, Eckhardt asked for over $2.2 M in damages from Big Table Media and Discovery Inc. He claimed he suffered emotional distress, including depression and anxiety, as a result of defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit stated that the defendants were aware of his vulnerability to emotional distress. Eckhardt also asserted that the alleged defamation caused a significant drop in his income, from $1,447,448.92 in the year 2019 to $251,565.60 in the year 2020. This drama caused dramas in the show “Windy City Rehab”, and it also led to Eckhardt’s business permit across Chicago, Il, being blocked.
