Brown is an American Journalist who currently serves as a newscaster for NPR. He began his broadcasting career with KPBS in San Diego in the early 1990s. He’s also worked in San Francisco as a news director, reporter, and television correspondent. He was a local Morning Edition host for seven years at KPBS before becoming the lead anchor for the station’s evening TV news show Evening Edition. Brown has previously worked for CBS Network Radio and Television in New York, as well as KCBS and KGO in San Francisco.
Brown has been selected “Best Morning Newscaster” by the San Diego Press Club for the past five years. He was also nominated “Best Morning Newscaster” by the San Diego Society of Professional Journalists in 2006.
