Holmes is a proud 2016 South Granville High School alumnus, a 2015 North Carolina Governor’s School (East) alumnus, and a 2018 graduate of CINECU, where she studied Spanish. She is also a proud alumnus of the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. She graduated from the university’s School of Media and Journalism in the year 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Global Studies. During her stint at the university’s School of Media and Journalism, she worked as an ambassador and reporter.

Holmes serves at WTVR as a News Reporter. Before joining the station, she served at NBC29 – WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia as a Weekend Morning News Anchor. She stayed there 2 years (May 2020 – May 2022). There she began as a Multimedia Journalist and Reporter until June 2021, when she transitioned to the anchors’ desk.

Before going to NBC29, she worked for Carolina Week, the University of North Carolina’s student television news program. There she first started as a Reporter/MMJ (in August 2019) and then transitioned to news anchor in January 2020. Also, she served at UNC Media Hub as a Stembler Scholar Reporter for 6 months.
