Before that, she worked for WOAY in Oak Hill, West Virginia as a news reporter and anchor for nearly 1 year (June 2006 to March 2007).
As she was growing up, she loved watching Fox 8 News, especially to find out if her school was closed due to bad weather when she was younger. As she got older, she started watching the news more regularly. In high school, her passion for television grew even stronger. She enjoyed recording the morning announcements and coming up with fun and creative ways to share information and make people laugh at the same time.
Her first television job was at WOAY-TV. While working there, she learned a lot about producing, editing and shooting content. This experience made her truly understand and value the entire process involved in creating a newscast.
During her time at WHDH, she reported on various stories, but one that left a lasting impact was the UBB mining disaster. In this tragic event, 29 courageous individuals lost their lives. The story deeply touched her heart, and she will always remember it. The experience of covering stories in West Virginia also left a profound impression on her. She admired the kindness and strength of the people there, which often reminded her of the folks back in her own beloved hometown.
When coming to her education, Noreika is a proud alumnus of Ohio University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Government/Communications and Political Science, respectively.
