Matesic also worked as a reporter at WTAJ in Altoona before her time in Green Bay. She also anchored on weekends, produced, and reported for WENY in Elmira, New York. She landed her first job out of college at MSNBC. There, she was a production assistant on the show now known as “MSNBC Investigates.”
Matesic told her parents she wanted to be a news reporter when she was only 8 years old. 30 years later, she is still fulfilling that dream. She enjoys being a reporter because she experiences something new every day.
During her career, Matesic has pulled 9Gs with the USAF Thunderbirds while broadcasting EAA’s AirVenture. Her reports have also helped save the lives of multiple people searching for lifesaving organ donations.
Matesic often volunteers for different community organizations, including the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross. Though she has lived in the Green Bay region for almost 20 years, she is a Pittsburgh girl who still bleeds black and gold and during football season.
