Eric began his career at KSTU Fox 13 in Salt Lake City in 2001, where he initially worked as a weather forecaster and weather producer. Over time, he transitioned to an on-air meteorologist role at KSTU. Additionally, he dedicated 12 years to taking weather observations at Salt Lake City International Airport. Stone’s interests encompass severe weather and winter phenomena, and he has actively pursued storm chasing, including ventures to Alabama, Missouri, Tuscaloosa, and Joplin, assessing tornado damage from Salt Lake City to Fort Myers.
During his downtime, Stone engages in bowling, participating in numerous leagues and tournaments. Notably, he won the North American championship title in 2017 before competing in the World Championship in Denmark. In January 2020, Stone secured victory at the open pinball World Championship in Banning, California.
He has traveled to various parts of the United States, achieving a fifth-place finish in the World Championship in Toronto, Canada. His prowess in pinball led him to attain the number 1 rank globally in June 2021. Beyond his competitive pursuits, Eric relishes the Florida climate, often enjoying beach outings and bike rides.
