She started as an on-camera meteorologist at the station. Before joining WAAY-TV, Anello worked as a part-time Athletic Academic Tutor at Mississippi State University for 10 months (August 2021 – May 2022).
While in college, Anello interned as a Meteorology Intern at WKRN News 2 from April 2021 to July 2021, and prior to that, she interned at MemphisWeather.net from April 2020 to April 2021. Additionally, she worked as a Production Coordinator at Soteria Productions from March 2018 to August 2019, and as a Production Assistant at the same company from January 2018 to August 2018. Before her time at Soteria Productions, Anello served as an Assistant Manager at Alpha Omega Health Center from March 2016 to August 2018, and she began her professional journey as a Receptionist at the same establishment from November 2015 to March 2016.
Since joining WAAY 31, Anello has done lots of stuff. She has thrown the first pitch at a Trash Panda’s game, went down to a big building (11-story building) for Kids to Love’s “Over The Edge” event, and talked to almost 10K students teaching them about staying safe during bad weather. She has also spoken at many Fellowship of Christian Athletes events. In the year 2023, Anello was a speaker at Rocket City Weather Fest, and in the year 2024, she was the main speaker (keynote). She has covered loads of bad weather events both in the studio and out in the field.
Anello picked Meteorology because she likes math and physics, and she wanted a job that is interesting and different every day. Besides the weather, she loves helping out. She went to a special event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tennessee Valley, where they help kids reach their goals. All the money they raised went to help those kids.
