Morse joined Penn State University in 2012 after completing his education at Brookfield High School. In May 2021, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science with a concentration in Weather Forecasting and Communications.
During his time at Penn State, Morse was involved with numerous TV broadcasts, both on the air and behind the scenes, including “The Centre County Report,” “Weather or Not,” and “Weather World.” He also worked as the Head of Communications for the Campus Weather Service, the nation’s oldest and largest student-run weather forecasting organization.
In the summer of 2019, Morse interned at NBC Connecticut (WVIT), where he really experienced what it’s like to be a broadcast meteorologist. He is also a NOAA Hollings Scholar who completed a research project with the National Weather Service in Bismarck. In this capacity, he looked into the best ways to communicate winter weather events using graphics.

The Connecticut native has been captivated and passionate about the weather for as long as he can remember. He has always been excited about big snowstorms, given that he is an avid skier. He always wanted to know when the mountains of New England had the best ski conditions. He’ll never forget the October 2011 Nor’easter that led to the cancellation of Halloween in his hometown, given that more than a foot of snow fell and many people were without power.
Morse recalls establishing a weather station right outside his home while growing up, looking forward to thunderstorms. He learnt the power of Mother Nature in 2018 when a severe storm with a macroburst with over 100 mph winds hit his hometown. That storm took down hundreds of trees and damaged many homes.
