Before joining WHBF-TV, Kidwell served at WFSB-TV Channel 3 Eyewitness News (a CBS affiliate) in Hartford Connecticut as a sports director. He served at the ABC affiliate, WGGB-TV in Springfield, Massachusetts as a sports anchor and reporter, before going to WFSB-TV.
Since Kidwell was a kid, he’s loved sports. Back then, he’d sit by the radio, listening to baseball games, pretending he was the announcer, describing every play! Kidwell still holds onto that love for sports. He likes talking about the local teams in the Quad Cities. It’s not just about watching the games for him. He also likes meeting lots of cool students, families, and folks in the community.

He says that he finds joy in participating in these charity events, where he gets to contribute to important causes and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
