JC Navarrete (full name – Juan Carlos Navarrete) is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WMAQ-TV NBC 5 Chicago in Illinois as a news reporter and weekend anchor. Prior to joining the station in January 2022, he worked for KVIA-TV.

While pursuing his degree in college, he was concurrently employed at KVIA as a cameraman, gaining hands-on experience in the broadcast news industry while still a student. Also while in college, Navarrete worked for El Paso Chihuahuas in El Paso, Texas as a Sales Associate for half a year (April 2014 – September 2014).
Over the years of his journalism career, Navarrete has reported on many different kinds of news. He has worked on stories where he digs deep to find out more, talked about crimes, reported urgent news, covered elections, and at the beginning of his career, he used to tell people about the traffic. He has learned a lot in this job by being ready for anything that happens. Navarrete says that he believes that in this business, the only thing you can manage is how you feel about it.
