While there, she reported on many significant and major stories such as the aftermath of the George Floyd protests, Ray Tensing’s murder trial, and many others.
Before going to WXIX, she worked for KODE-TV and KSNF-TV in Joplin, Missouri as a news anchor/reporter. While there, she reported on many other stories such as the most fatal tornadoes in history. She sadly lost her apartment to one of the tornadoes. She started her career in broadcast news more than ten years ago at WAGA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.
Brown says that she admires the Joplin community for being very strong even after the storm’s destruction. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and loves helping her community. She believes that serving others is a meaningful way to connect with her faith. Brown has a special passion for being a mentor to young girls and spends a lot of time volunteering for this cause.
