A proud military veteran, Keisling served as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman in the United States Navy for 8 years. In this role, she was deployed to the southern Helmand Province of Afghanistan in a Shock Trauma Platoon and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where she worked in the maximum security detainee camps that held some of the most vicious terrorists in the world.
During her time in the United States Navy, Keisling also worked as the lead Command News Anchor, gaining 5 years of experience in Public Affairs and the journalism arena in Naval Air Station Jacksonville. She also won the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her journalism work in the army.
After Keisling was honorably discharged from the service, she returned to school for her degree. Besides journalism, she is known in the fitness industry. In 2009, she served as the first IFBB Bikini Professional Athlete to win NPC Nationals in Miami, obtaining her Pro card in the fitness industry.
