Jaggers works at WREG-TV News Channel 3, as a Meteorologist. He has been forecasting the weather on radio and television in Memphis for decades. He has hosted WREG TV’s Knowledge Bowl since the year 2005 and quizzing high school students vying to win college scholarships is something he has grown to love. The National Weather Association named Jaggers Broadcaster of the Year in 2023. Additionally, he was awarded the June Bacon-Bercey Award for Broadcast Meteorology from the American Meteorological Society.
Jagers is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by the AMS, certifying him as a meteorologist in the broadcasting field. In addition to that, he has spent some time in service to the AMS. He served on the broadcast board judging AMS Seal candidates and was chairman of the board of broadcast meteorology. He was honored with an AMS Special Award for assisting the AMS in writing and implementing a new Certified Broadcast Meteorology test which replaced the original AMS Seal.
Jaggers holds a Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association in both television and radio forecasting. He was awarded an Emmy, in 2013, for breaking news coverage of the tornado that hit Shelby County in the Whitehaven area of Memphis on the 5th of February. In addition to that, he was honored with an Emmy recognizing his community service work supporting Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in the year 2015.
In 2019, Jaggers was also honored for his dedication to Le Bonheur with a Leadership Foundation Service to Community award in the TV medium market category. He brought to light that he spends his leisure with his friends and family and also in church.
