After that, he went to work for KETV, an ABC-affiliated television station in Omaha, Nebraska, as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist. At KETV, he co-produced “When the Siren Sounds,” a 30-minute severe weather safety, as well as awareness program. The program got a nomination for the Iris Award from the National Association of Television Program Executives.
