Lamar serves at WSAV 3 On Your Side as a sports director. He worked for WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida as a sports director for 10 months (Mar 2020 – Dec 2020), before going to WSAV-TV. For nearly 3 years (from April 2017 to February 2020), Lamar worked for KXMB-TV in Bismarck, North Dakota as a sports director. He is said to be the very first African American sports journalist in the history of North Dakota.
Lamar has worked for KFBB-TV in Great Falls, Montana as a sports reporter and anchor for 1 year (May 2016 – April 2017). He has also worked for WFXL Fox 31 in Albany, Georgia as a weekday sports anchor and reporter for 1 year (from May 2015 to April 2016).
