He also served as a reporter and anchor at KTVI-TV, FOX 2 in St. Louis before returning to Central Florida in 2021, and was named “Best Large Market News Anchor” by the Missouri Broadcasters Association in 2020.
He started working at KSPR-TV in Springfield, Missouri, in 1999, where he was named the morning show anchor of The Morning Scoop, a news broadcast. He was elevated to evening news anchor in 2003 and stayed there till 2004. He earned the job as host of the nationally syndicated TV show The Daily Buzz, based in Orlando and aired in 150 towns throughout the country, after five years at KSPR.
In 2009, he joined KTVI, FOX 2, as an anchor and reporter. During this period, he also presented John Brown’s Mindset, a talk radio show on KTRS-AM. Brown is the father of two daughters and is married. He is an accomplished runner who has completed hundreds of marathons and half-marathons and enjoys golfing in the warm season.
