In the TV show, Knight and Kristina Crestin, the designer, fix up old New England farmhouses for people. They try to make sure the history stays alive by giving these houses a fresh start. In the year 2000, Knight revealed that he had been dealing with generalized anxiety disorder since he started with his music band. He stated that since then, he got medical help, and he was doing better. In the year 2011, Knight was on “True Life”, an MTV program, to support a fan who was going through panic disorder.

However, Knight decided to move it to a quieter spot down the road, preserving its history. It was reported that he paid about $25,000 for septic, $17,000 to lay its new foundation, and $40,000 to relocate the home.

For 8 years (1986 – 1994), Knight was part of “New Kids on the Block” (NKOTB), the famous American boy band. They sold a lot, like upwards of 80 million records around the world. However, in the year 1994, Knight left during their tour for the album “Face the Music”, and the group disbanded. At first, they said Knight got hurt by a horse, so they were still going on tour, but in a press conference a few weeks later, they admitted they were actually breaking up.

In the 2008 spring, Knight went back to show business. He joined the other 4 guys from NKOTB again. They put out their 7th album, called “The Block”, on September 2, 2008. To tell everyone about getting back together and the new album, they did a live performance on the Today Show on May 16, 2008. It was the 1st time in one and a half decades they performed together.

After the new album came out, they planned a world tour that started on September 18, 2008, in Toronto. The 1st song from the tour, “Summertime,” did great everywhere. It got as high as number 9 in Canada and made it into the top 30 on the United States charts, reaching number 24 as a digital download. In August 2008, they put out their 2nd song from the band called “Single.” The other group members are (Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jordan (Knight’s brother) – Knight is the oldest in the group.
