Kathryn Young Education
Young joined Washington and Lee University in 2014 after completing studies at Trinity Episcopal School (RVA). In 2019, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Business Administration.
During her time at Washington and Lee, Young worked as an anchor, reporter, producer, and weather forecaster for the Rockbridge Report, the student-run newscast. Additionally, she served as the sports editor of the school’s newspaper, the Ring-tum Phi.
Young was a singer in Washington and Lee’s all-female a cappella group, JubiLee, and a dancer in the W&L Repertory Dance Company. Twice, she studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, and London, England. During summer, she did internships at CBS 6, where she was a news intern, and was a business reporting intern for the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
