While she was in Tennessee, she was able to cover major local and regional news, inclusive of fatal school bus crashes in Knox and Hamilton counties, the 2015 Chattanooga shootings, and the 2016 Gatlinburg wildfires.
Furthermore, in her career as a journalist., she has been awarded an Associated Press award for Best Political Coverage for a six-part series titled “Fines, Fees, and a Flawed System.” In addition, while she was in college, she interned at KYTX-TV in Tyler, WFAA-TV in Dallas, and Midland at KMID-TV. Furthermore, she interned with Face the Nation and CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley during the JFK 50th Anniversary.
While she was in college, she served as a managing editor for TCU360, team leader, and multimedia reporter. Furthermore, the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association in News Non-Feature Story, Audition Tape, and Television Documentary for her work with TCU360 awarded her with first-place wins.
