Kristine Varkony Career
She attended Ohio State and obtained her journalism degree in her senior year at NBC4. At NBC4’s sister station, WTRF 7News, where she was a reporter and producer, Kristine returned to the Ohio Valley to start her journalism career in her home market.
Kristine first reported to Nexstar in Columbus while still working at WTRF when she was sent to cover the Ohio State attack in November 2016. Kristine loves to explore Columbus, to be outdoors, to eat Mexican food, attend exercise classes to counteract all the Mexican food she eats, and to spend time in nephews with her four young nieces who also live in Columbus.
