Ramsey’s acting career began when she was discovered by an agent and cast in a documentary. Laura traveled to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to pursue a career in Hollywood. She stayed in West Hollywood, sharing an apartment with the girlfriend of a friend. Laura was discovered by a talent agency while working as a waiter at the ‘Sunset Boulevard’ in December 2002. She got her first audition the next day and passed it.

Laura starred in the real film ‘The Real Cancun,’ which was released in 2003. The reality TV-inspired documentary followed 16 young Americans as they experienced the authentic adventures of youth while on spring break in Cancun, Mexico. Laura’s first film, unfortunately, bombed at the box office and was blasted by critics. Even when she returned after the film’s release, she had to deal with her grandparents, parents, and other relatives who were dissatisfied with her performance in the film.

Laura, on the other hand, continued her profession and moved to television. She landed the character of ‘Natalie Day’ in the ABC series ‘The Days’ in 2004. In the series, her character was the protagonist couple’s eldest kid, a homecoming queen, a great soccer player, and the most popular girl in her school, whose world was flipped upside down when she became pregnant.
