During important weather outbreaks with the National Weather Service, she won several awards for outstanding forecasting and teamwork.

When coming to her education, she is a grad of the State University of Arizona, where she initially studied broadcast meteorology. Fascinated by weather forecasts, she decided to change her major and study meteorology at the University of California, Davis. In 2009, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science.
