Liberté then worked for KCOY-TV / KKFX-TV on the Central Coast reporting in Santa Barbara County. She was honored for excellent reporting in a series of pieces on the Santa Barbara County Probation Department by California Gov.
Jerry Brown. Liberté was then hired to be KMIR-TV ‘s the weekday morning news anchor in Palm Springs. In 2010, she returned to KTLA.
